I'm so excited for you to run Boston. I went to undergrad at BU and in my Junior year went and watched the race. That's what gave me the goal to run a marathon. <BR/><BR/>The day they run the marathon is a holiday in Maine and Massachusetts (since Maine was a part of Massachusetts until 1820) and it's called Patriots Day. (Sorry, I hope you don't hold any ill will for us American's. Haha!) The Red Sox always have an early game that day so that the game can be getting over around the time when the first runners are going through Kenmore Square near Fenway.
