Just finished my last long run - 35km - before the Boston Marathon (on April 21). Feels great, but have a worrying pain in my right achilles tendon/lower calf. Hope it's nothing serious.
Great run! I was just reading Guide to Road Racing new from Runners World and they say you should massage the achilles. That's a common complaint for people who do a lot of hill work, which I'm sure you are doing to try and prepare for Boston. Just stay away from the hills for a bit. You're in your taper now so it won't hurt to go flat for a while.
I can't believe you are in your taper already! You are going to do awesome in Boston. I can't wait to hear about it.
I'm a Brit, living far from home in Toronto - a 'Britnadian' if you will.
By day I'm an Account Director and head of the Social Media practice at Thornley Fallis Communications.
By night I'm an obsessive distance runner.

Good luck in Boston.
Thanks Rob!
What's going on with your achilles?
